Welcome to St. Mary's!
There
are lots of ways to get connected
at
St. Mary’s, with fellow seekers and pilgrims on the spiritual journey,
to God’s
love in Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We’re
whooping it up here most days of the week and three times on Sunday. I hope exploring our programs and
celebrations on this web site brings you hope and joy.
We’re
Episcopalians, protestant and catholic and free.
We believe
Jesus died to take away your sins, not your mind. Questioning
and seeking is at the heart of who
we are. We aren't afraid of questions;
we know our God is big enough to take it. We make lots of room
for
the big
questions of life and the little ones too. We
have a great team of lay and ordained ministers ready
and willing to
walk, talk, study and pray with you.
We’re
committed to meeting you where you are and going forward together.
There’s no
test to pass before you get in the door. You know how happy you
are to see people you love that you
haven’t seen for a long time? It’s simple, God is happy whenever
one who felt lost or one who was away comes home.
There’s no zapping. Remember, the light is on for you.
What
about kids?
We
have lots of them, big ones, small ones
and parents too. We have an open,
kid-friendly Family Service, and our church school, a/k/a Kids J.A.M.
(Jesus
and me), is fast-paced and never the same two weeks in a row.
Teen-agers?
Bring
‘em on!
We
have a great team of adults who know how
to play, mentor and challenge our youth in the Journey to Adulthood
program. There’s honest talk about who
they are as spiritual, sexual, social selves and where God is in all of
that. This is not your mama’s
confirmation class. Our kids have too
much facing them.
We’re busy building spiritual strength to meet the challenges of today.
If
we can be of any help at any time,
please don’t hesitate to phone or e-mail us. Be
blessed, and be a blessing!
